Wednesday, November 6th

We are on Cape Cod tonight at yet another closed campground.  We were headed to the very end of the peninsula of Cape Cod and I said, "Oh, there's a campground right there."  We called and she said, they were closed but to come on in anyway.  Their price sure didn't indicate there were closed!  We were happy though to drop the trailer quickly and get on down the road to the end.  We made it just in time for an beautiful sunset right at the very end where the road just curves around and goes back again.  Good thing we had found a campground to leave the trailer because we ended up on a street, their main street I guess with restaurants and such that was VERY VERY narrow.  We had about 1 or 2 inches on each side.  There were parked cars on one side and you drive on the other.
Yikes!!

Earlier in the day we went and saw Plymouth Rock.  It is just a rock, but the history behind it is so powerful.  We got to go on a replica of the Mayflower.  Very cool!  Actually smaller than we all thought. Crazy to think those people were on there for 2 months.  It had about 130 people on it.  One woman even delivered a baby on board....no thanks!  :)  Then we went to a "living history" plantation of the Wampanoag Tribe and an English Village.  The people there were 'living' and 'acting' like they were the real Indians and the real Pilgrims living there in 1627.  It was great to see how it all was so many years ago!  Awesome!     **Sara

  1. Great group of four pictures to tell a story. Love the angle of the rock photo.
