Monday, December 2nd

Today we lived like the people of 1775.  There is this place in Williamsburg that is called Colonial Williamsburg.  It is this whole village of people living like they did then. From using oxen in the plantations to wig makers to blacksmiths.  We enjoyed walking the streets taking it all in.  We even had peanut soup for lunch at the King's Arms Tavern. It was okay.  But I'd say don't bother if you ever have the chance.  They used to feed it to the slaves.  Hearty, heavy and rich.  The kids played a couple of games (of that era of course.)  One was called Hoop and Stick and the other was Grace Sticks.
