Saturday, March 8th

Today took us to the Colorado Rockies home stadium for spring training in Scottsdale.  It was a beautiful day for baseball!  The Rockies even won with a stroke of luck........tied at 4 all, bottom of the 9th, 2 on, 2 out, (we had just started to get up to head out knowing we weren't going to stay for extra innings since Mom and Dad were along) when a fly ball to the Oakland's center fielder dropped 5 feet in front of him that he should have caught. The Rockies scored and it was all over......and we even saw it!!!  It was a great day!                    **Sara

Some of our daily activities around here include:  school, enjoying the sunshine, swimming, enjoying the sunshine, playing mini golf, enjoying the sunshine, shopping, enjoying the sunshine, hanging out with Grandpa and Grandma, enjoying the sunshine, eating out on Wednesdays to get a free piece of pie, enjoying the sunshine, trying out a famous Arizona (Tucson mostly) Sonora Hotdog, enjoying the sunshine, playing 'store' with Grandpa, enjoying the sunshine ........you get the idea?!?!?!!!?!  :)

Tuesday, March 4th

Audree and Garrett helped Grandma clean the house today because Grandma and Grandpa were having friends from Iowa come for the day.  They were great little helpers.  We all had a nice visit. Since it was Fat Tuesday, we had pancakes and sausage for dinner.  Fun!  Audree likes to serve us all using a tray so here are a couple pictures of her.  She has so much fun doing it.  Tonight the kids got into Grandpa's paints and painted these cute little birdhouses.  Very fun!  And then, Dad and I started going through his Army pictures to get them organized and into a scrapbook!  I've had withdrawals about scrapbooking so this is going to be fun!

Monday, March 3rd

I stayed the night at Grandpa and Grandma's house. I did school for a little while and then we all went to a Rockies spring training game.  Grandpa and Grandma's friend works at the Mariners field, so guess who the Rockies played?  The Mariners! The Mariners field was closer then the Rockies, so we went to the Mariners. At the game we got to sit in the first row. Early in the game I got a ball from a foul ball. Later I went to a tent to enter a contest for pitch speed. At 3:30 the results were revealed and I had won. My prize was a t-shirt. By then the Rockies were losing pretty bad and everyone knew how it would end.  Audree was upset she hadn't gotten a ball, but she got her wish. The ball boy gave her a foul ball that was hit nearby. At the end of the game two Rockies players came and signed our balls which was pretty cool. Today was a really fun day!

Sunday, March 2nd

This weekend I hung out with my good friend Baylie. We went rollerskating. It was like the  old-fashioned kind of rink with all the lights and disco balls. It was really really really fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we made a fort with blankets over her balcony at her house.  It was awesome.  We made these funny videos and laughed sooooooo hard. I had a really fun time making those videos. I had a blast at Baylie's.               Audree<> 

 

Now I get to talk about my weekend! My friend Fisher moved away from Kremmling about two years. I was glad I got to go to his house. Once I got to his house we went to his sister's semi final basketball game. Unfortunately they lost. Once we got back to his house most of his family was home. He has 11 people in his family. They have a four year old who goes crazy all the time. The next day Fisher had to go to a school event for the whole day. So that was a bummer. I played games with the other boys throughout the day. Today we played more games and went swimming in 60 degrees of water. It was a fun weekend.

PS    For those of you reading this blog that don't know, Trish and her family decided and moved to Arizona after we were already gone on our trip.  So she tells me on the phone we can visit her in Arizona when we get there......I said, "What?!?!?!"  So anyway, that's the scoop.     **Sara

MARCH 1st Last Month!!!!

Wow, it's the beginning of our last month!!!!  It's hard to believe how fast the trip has gone.  We are enjoying our weekend with Trish and Baylie.  Today was a lazy rainy day.  We did get a walk in before it really started to rain.  Baylie's soccer game was even cancelled.  Trish and I went out for Mexican food and margaritas tonight.  Not quite as good as Los Amigos, but not bad.  Lots of fun and lots of laughs!  I will miss my dear friend when I get home!!   :(

Friday, February 28th

This morning I took Garrett to Fisher's house in Buckeye, southwest of Phoenix.  Then Audree and I headed back across Phoenix--it is a big city-- and south through Tucson and to Trish's in Sahuarita.  We took the girls roller skating at an old fashion skating rink.  They had a blast!  Garrett went to one of Fisher's sister's basketball play off games.  Trish and I had to check out one of the the few bars in their town here.  They had yummy strawberry daiquiris.  We all had a great day!  Well, I don't know about Jeff, since he's home working!  :)                      **Sara
